About Damir Sertić, it was said the following (magazine Diplomacy & Commerce): Masterchef at Hotel Zepter Belgrade, he first came to Belgrade ten years ago. The then-dilapidated and gloomy city was hardly a sight to behold. However, the famous Belgrade nightlife turned out to be a unique story that is unforgettable. Perhaps that’s why the highlight of his day has always been the night, when he strolls leisurely, creating gastronomic art. Always filled with inexplicably good humor, he comes across as reliable like a brother, which is well understood by Serbs. Born in Zagreb, he has cooked around the world, mostly for the rich and famous with spoiled palates. A chance encounter brought him back to Belgrade when he had already become a doctor of molecular gastronomy. What was the first thing he did? He introduced our hedonistic habits with lemon foam and raspberry glass, which easily transforms into syrup in the "derta." Special attention is given to candles made from mangalica fat, which melt with ink-squid flatbreads. He dedicated the Zepter mono cake to his childhood, when we loved only poppy seed from the juicy homemade strudel. He even managed to surpass the legendary bellini from the mythical Harry’s Bar.
